Red Umbrella Day – International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers

Red Umbrella Day is the International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers and is observed annually on 17 December by sex workers, their advocates, friends, families and allies.

This year RhED will be hosting an event in St Kilda from 2pm to 4pm as an opportunity for the community to show their support for every sex workers’ right to be free from violence.

Sex workers will be creating a Red Umbrella sculpture, an important symbol for sex workers rights globally, and inviting those who attend to contribute to the collective art piece.
