Drugs and Working
- Drugs and alcohol can affect your mood, coordination, responsiveness and perceptions.
- Drugs and alcohol can also adversely affect your ability to stay in control and may make you extremely vulnerable and make safe sex harder to negotiate.
- Many drugs (including alcohol and pharmacy drugs) affect your co-ordination. Condoms can be slippery and fiddley things and they must be put on correctly to work properly and to avoid breakage.
- Never accept drinks or drugs from clients - you don’t know what they contain.
- If possible, avoid drink and drugs when working. If you want to drink or use drugs try and wait until after work!
- If drugs and alcohol are becoming a problem, RhED can assist with further information and referral.
