End of Year Hours and a Message from the RhED Team
As the year draws to a close the RhED team would like to extend our thanks to the sex workers who have contributed to our work supporting the Victorian sex work community via focus groups, the sex worker advisory committee, the community interpreters, workshop facilitators volunteers and consumer participants. And to everyone who has reached out for support, to provide feedback or take part in RhED projects, it is our privilege to support and work alongside you. We extend our appreciation and admiration to all the Victorian sex workers past and present who have been part of the movement to decriminalise sex work – we are so looking forward to seeing the fruits of this labour become a reality in 2022. We also acknowledge that the advocacy needed around decriminalisation is ongoing – no sex worker will be left behind!
We hope that you will be taking a well-deserved break over the holiday period and wish for you to have the time and resources to replenish your cup, ready for the unknown challenges, and opportunities that 2022 will bring. Our team will be taking time to do the same!
This means that between the 24th December and 6th January the RhED hotline will not be answered and voicemails will be attended to after the 6th. Emails will be checked intermittently due to limited staff so expect delayed replies over this period.
This time of year can be a difficult one for many folks so do take care of yourself and connect with those who support you. If you are in crisis, these links may help:
